Ethos
A rhetorical device that appeals to the speaker's credibility or authority.
Pathos
A rhetorical device that appeals to the audience's emotions.
Logos
A rhetorical device that appeals to logic and reason.
Rhetorical Device
A technique used by speakers or writers to persuade or influence an audience.
Gangsta Rap
A subgenre of rap music, often characterized by violent and explicit lyrics.
Bias
A prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way that’s considered to be unfair.
Amicus Brief
A legal document filed in court cases by individuals or groups who aren't directly involved in the case but have expertise or interest in the matter.
Autobiography
An account of a person's life written by that person.
Allusion
An expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly; an indirect or passing reference.
