Saftey rules for practicum

1. Always carry microscope with one hand on the arm and the other on the base

2. Make sure it is set on the scanning power (Red line)

3. Make sure stage is lowered all the way

4. Secure piece with stage clips

5. Always use rotating nosepiece to switch between objective lens

6. Never use the course focus knob with the high power (blue line) or oil immersion objective lenses (white line) — you will only use the fine focus knob for those
