what the job of the Peripheral nervous system
sends information to the CNS from the outside world and transmits messages from the CNS to muscles and glands in the body so uses sensory neurones to get it to the CNS and motor neurones to get it away.
what the job of the autonomic nervous system
transmits information to and from internal organs. It plays a key role in homeostasis. It is automatic
what the job of the somatic nervous system
transmits information from the receptors cells in the sense organ to the CNS it also receives information from the CNS to direct muscles to act. controls skeletal muscles is voluntary
what the job of the sympathetic nervous system
Responsible for fight or flight eg releases adrenaline to dilate pupils raise heart rate
what the job of the parasympathetic nervous system
returns body to resting state after fight or flight eg slow someone’s heart rate again and contracting somones’s pupils
what the job of the central nervous system
Its made up of the brain and spinal cord and is the origins of all complex processing. The brain is responsible for all conscious and most unconscious processing. The spinal cord receives and transmits information and can be part of reflex arcs.
