Geography
is the field of human knowledge that studies the earth. Even the name of this science connotes the nature of what it studies
physical geography
and is the more commonly understood branch of geography. It studies all of the natural occurrences on the planet.
climatology
is the study of the earth’s climate. This field of study looks at things such as weather patterns and the makeup of our atmosphere.
geomorphology
which is the study of the distribution of landforms. This field studies how land masses are laid out on the surface of the earth and how they have changed over the years.
biogeography
Biogeography is the subfield of physical geography that studies the distribution of plants and animals. This subfield concerns itself with where and why particular plants and animals are located.
human geography
is the scientific study of the location of people and activities across the earth’s surface and the reasons for their distribution.

homogeneous region
is a region that has shared characteristics, such as climate or language. A [ ] region may also be referred to as a formal region or a uniform region.
