You have decided that you are going to develop an imagery program to help you improve your skills in curling. Which of the following would be INAPPROPRIATE in the process of developing your imagery program?
Your imagery sessions will be considerably longer than your practice sessions
You are still working on developing your imagery program to improve your skills in curling. Please answer the following questions.
1- Using either the 4W's or the PETTLEP model, please explain 3 key elements of an effective imagery program.
PETTLEP = Physical, Environmental, Task, Timely, Learning, Emotion, Perspectice
For the question:
Environmental — imagine being in a cold environment similar to curling arena
Task — imagining the specific task you are trying to get better at
perspective — could imagine yourself in first or third person
timely — maybe do it right after or right before practice
You are still working on developing your imagery program to improve your skills in curling. 2- Please describe 2 other factors that would influence imagery effectiveness and explain how you might apply them to your imagery program to improve your skills at curling.
One addition factor skill level — important to consider while doing the imager by making you acknowldge things you need to improve on, which you could implement by imagining yourself making the improvements.
Another factor — practice it more often. You could imagine your performance before every practice, which would benefit you by eventually creating a stronger sense of the image in your mind after repitition of doing imagery.

Consider that you are a youth sport coach. Please answer the questions regarding self-efficacy and building confidence.
1- Please choose 2 sources of self-efficacy and explain how you could use your understanding of those sources to help build self-efficacy in your players.
A) performance accomplishments — I would convince them that everyday we are getting better in practice and games, and that the progress will build up over time to create a more sucessful team
B) verbal persuasion — so they can see themselves as well abled to perform well. This would include words of encouragement at practices and games, which I would incorportate to make them feel good at what they do when they hear my approval of their performance.
