What an individual actually does (as opposed to thinks) in response to a moral dilemma.
Normative Ethics
What SHOULD BE or OUGHT TO BE GOOD/BAD or RIGHT/WRONG - attempts to develop a set of RULES to GOVERN human conduct - societal "norms"
Consequentialism
the doctrine that the morality of an action is to be judged solely by its consequences.
Virtue Ethics
An approach to ethics that develops and emphasizes an individual's character and actions as key elements of ethical thinking

Divine Command Theory
Purposes and action is morally GOOD only if it is determined as good by GOD. "What is moral is COMMANDED by God"

Using reason and drawing from religious revelation to determine what is moral.
Apologetics
The ACT of EXPLAINING and/or DEFENDING the Catholic Church through the METHODS of REASON, LOGIC, and/or VALUE.
Natural Law Theory
A philosophy ASSERTING that certain rights are INHERENT by VIRTUE of human nature and endowed by nature; and understood UNIVERSALLY through REASON.
Natural Moral Law
A pillar of the CATHOLIC set of laws, this concept addresses laws that AREN'T written but nevertheless KNOWN by all men and women who have the use of REASON. It uses basic COMMON SENSE, PRUDENCE, and JUSTICE.
Moral Nature
Belief that our Moral Character and decision making is born within us. We being human ... by nature ... act the way we do.

Moral Outrage
justifiable anger, disgust, or frustration directed toward others who violate ethical value or standards
Moral Hazard
a situation in which one party gets involved in a risky event knowing that they are protected against the risk and the other party will incur the cost.
