What are the functions of the Lymphatic system?
Transportation of lymph back into circulation
Absorption of digestive fats and fat-soluble vitamins into circulation

Tissue fluid formed from plasma
What is the function of lymphatic vessels?
Pick up tissue fluid and transport it towards the heart

Right lymphatic duct, Thoracic duct

Small pea-shaped patches along the lymphatic vessels
What are the 3 types of tonsils?
Palatine, Pharyngeal, Lingual
What is the function of tonsils?
Filter fluid contaminated by pathogens that enters the body through the mouth and nose

Produce macrophages to destroy pathogens and prevent it from penetrating through the walls of the small intestine
