Urbanisation

The increase of population of people who live in urban areas. This also includes children who are born in urban areas as well as those who move from other countries.

Social reason for urbanisation

Rural areas are isosolated, so they have poorer healthcare, income and education.

2 economic reasons for urbanisation

1. Jobs in Urban areas pay much more than opportunities in rural areas.

2. Urban areas in the Middle East are very well connected to the rest of the world, and receive significant investment which creates more wealth for those who live there

2 enviromental reason for urbanisation

1. Urban areas of the Middle East (usually) have clean and regulare access to water, which is very scarce in that region.

2. Urban areas are more developed, and technology can be used to control the climate, so it does’nt have to be always arid in the daytime.
