Lieutenant Commander Draper L. Kauffman established the NCDU in Fort Peirce FL, June 1943.

April of 1944 what operation did 34 NCDU do when they were deployed in England?

Operation Overlord--> 31 Dead, 60 wounded and 52% rate of casualties.

Why and when was the Underwater Demolition Team(UTD's) formed?

It was founded November of 1943 because the Marines were having a hard time in the amphibious landing in Tarawa.

What else did the UTD's help with in the Korean war and Vietnam War?

They performed mine clearing and demolition raid in the Korean war, canal clearance in Vietnam war.

Why and when was the Navy Seal stablished and by who?

In 1961 CNO thought that we needed a Naval Unit with unconventional warfare capabilities so in 1962 JFK thought the same so Seal Team 1 and 2 were established.

EOD was needed during WW2 when German and Japanese Military operations left behind large quantities of dud-fire ordinance, The NAVSCOLEOD is at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
