Alliance

Militia

Treaty

A serious disagreement or fight, often lasting a long time.

Britain’s law-making group, similar to Congress in the United States today.

Representation
Having someone to speak or act for you in government.
Ambush
A surprise attack from a hidden place.
Neutral
Not taking sides in a conflict or argument.
Siege
A military strategy of surrounding a place to cut off supplies until it surrenders.
Supply Line
The path used to bring food, weapons, and materials to an army.
Negotiation
A discussion to reach an agreement or compromise.
Expansion
The act of growing or spreading into new areas.
