male over 45 or female over 55 with 2 or more risk factors
CVD risk factors
Sedentary (less than 150 minutes of exercise per week)
Family History of heart disease (Cardiac event in male 1st degree relative less than 55 years old or in female 1st degree relative less than 65 years old)
Hypertension (sbp>130 or dbp>80)
Lipidemia: total cholesterol > 200; or Non-HDL (preferred method) of > 160
Smoking
Obesity (BMI over 30, or waist circumference of over 40 inches in men or 35 inches in women)
Negative CVD risk factor
HDL > 60 mg/dl subtracts one CVD risk factor
