Photosynthesis
Converting light energy into chemical energy, turning light into food (glucose).
Cellular Respiration
Breaking down food (glucose) into ATP.
Autotroph
An organism that can make its own food, usually through photosynthesis.
Heterotroph
An organism that cannot make its own food and must eat other organisms.
Energy
The ability to do work.
Biomass
The total mass of all living tissue.
Cycle
A series of events that end where they began, moving in a circle.
Initial
At the beginning.
Monitor
To keep track of something.
Transform/Convert/fixed
To change from one form to another.
Aerobic
Respiration using oxygen, produces 38 ATPs.
Anaerobic
Respiration without oxygen, produces 2 ATP.
