Integer
All whole numbers and their opposites. Integers include positive numbers, negative numbers, and zero.
Opposites
are pairs of numbers that are equal in distance from zero on the number line, but in opposite directions.
Rational Number
A number that can be expressed as the quotient of two integers, where the denominator is not zero.
Terminating Decimal
A decimal that has a finite number of digits after the decimal point.
Repeating Decimal
A decimal in which a digit or a group of digits repeats infinitely after the decimal point.
Inequality
A mathematical statement that compares two expressions using symbols such as <, >, ≤, or ≥, indicating whether one expression is less than, greater than, or equal to another.
Absolute Value
The distance of a number from zero on the number line, regardless of direction. It is always a non-negative value.
Magnitude
The size or extent of a quantity, often used in reference to vectors or numbers, representing its absolute value.
Additive Inverse
The value that, when added to a given number, results in zero. It is the negative of that number.
Multiplicative Inverse
The value that, when multiplied by a given number, results in one. It is the reciprocal of that number.
