It regulates the body’s involuntary processes.
What are the parts of the Automatic Nervous System?
Sympathetic Nervous System

What does the Sympathetic Nervous System do?
It mobilizes bodily resources in response to threat.
What does the Parasympathetic Nervous System do?
It replenishes bodily resources by calming the body down.
What does the Somatic Nervous System do?
It carries sensory information from to the CNS and it also controls motor functions.
What does the brain do?
It handles emotions, thoughts, coordinated responses, and sensations.
What does the spinal cord do?
It connects all of the nerves to the brain.
What are body parts are in the Central Nervous System?
The brain and the spinal cord.
What does the Sympathetic Nervous System?
The Digestive System.
What are some examples of involuntary processes?
Heart rate
Respiration
Digestion
Pupil contraction
Can experiences cause the brain to change?
