People are defined by what they buy, not what they make; example: American brands like Coca-Cola.
United Nations
Created after World War II to prevent war and facilitate cooperation among the world’s nations.
World Bank
Created global economic institutions and provides financial assistance to developing countries to help them reduce poverty, promote economic development, and achieve sustainable growth.
Negritude Movement
Promoted blackness and black culture as worthy of celebration and dignity and worked to eliminate racial discrimination.
Liberation theology
Emphasized Christ’s concern for the poor and marginalized and called for change in oppressive power structures.
Greenpeace
Global environmental protection organization that uses various nonviolent tactics to raise awareness and advocate for the protection of the environment.
