What is a DC Voltage
A DC voltage is a voltage that does not change polarity. Voltage at points A will always be higher than voltage at point B.
What are sources for direct currents
Dry cells, PSU
What is an alternative current
It us a current that changes directions periodically
What is an AC voltage
It is a voltage that changes periodically
Describe a DC voltage graph
The graphs are always positive which indicates that there are no changesin the direction of the current and polarity if the voltage.
Describe an AC voltage graph
Parts of the graph are positive and other parts are negative. The direction of the current and polarity of the voltage of the positive parts are opposite to those of the negative parts.
Name the types of periodic waveforms
Sinusoidal, rectangular, square, and triangular
What is the peak voltage
It is the voltage measure from the DC Level to the highest point if the waveform
What is the peak-to-peak voltage
It is the voltage from the lowest to highest point of the waveform
What is the period
It is the time taken to produce one cycle of the waveform
What is the DC level of the waveform
It is the voltage level which the waveform oscillates about
What is the duty cycle
It is the percentage of time of the waveform at the peak
