What is newtons second law?
The larger the resultant force acting on an object, the more the object accelerates. The force and the acceleration are directly proportional.

Acceleration is also inversely proportional to the mass of the object, so an object with a larger mass will accelerate less than one with a smaller mass.

What is inertia?
The tendency to continue in the same state of motion. Or the tendency to continue moving a the same velocity.

What s an objects inertia mass?
An objects inertia mass measures how difficult it is to change the velocity of the object.

It is the ratio of force over acceleration.
