Slavery in which slaves are the property of their masters

Debt bondage

Slavery were people worked for their masters for some time in order to pay for a debt

Philemon

Christian slave master, slaves and masters are equal in Christ

Onesimus

Philemon's slave who ran away and met Paul

Jubilee

All debts were forgiven every 50 years

Sabbatical year

Land was not farmed and slaves were freed every 7 years
