Fuel injection system
How does a carburetor work?
Works based off diferencie in pressure. Air going around Venturi is low pressure, sucks the fuel out because it is at high pressure, vaporizes the fuel and send into the engine
Why does carburetor icing happen?
Due to the fuel expanding rapidly the temp decreases.
Carburetor Heat
Used to remove carburetor ice. Hot air from exhaust redirected to carburetor. Performance reduces because hot=low desire pressure
Fuel injection system
Works using fuel pump, send to control unit to calculate how much fuel needed, sent to manifold valve where distributed to cylinders.
What is detonation
Uncontrolled explosion ignition of fuel air mixture in the combustion chamber due to excessive temp and pressure.
Preignition
When fuel air mixture ignites prior to the engine, cause by residual hot spots in combustion chamber and small carbon deposits on spark plugs.
