What are interest groups?
Organized groups that advocate for specific policies or causes
What do interest groups do?
Advocate for certain policies, tries to influence lawmakers, fund political campaigns, and pushes for legal change
What is a lobbyist?
A lobbyist is a professional who advocates for a specific organization or interest group by communicating with government officials to influence legislation, policies, and regulations
What is lobbying?
the act of influencing government officials to support or oppose policies
What is a PAC?
Collect and donate money to political campaigns to finically support a candidate; they make ads
What is a Super PAC?
A type of PAC that cannot donate directly to a candidate, but can spend an unlimited amount of money on political ads and messaging
