what is a destructive plate boundary
A tectonic boundary where two plates are moving towards each other, causing one plate to be forced below the other, friction causes strong earthquake as the oceanic more dense plate subducts beneath the less dense continental plate.
what happens when two continental plates meet
no subduction and no magma so no volcanoes. the crust crumples and lifts to for form mountains like the Himalayas.
what happens at a constructive plate boundries
new crust is formed as two plates move apart and magma forces its way into the surface - cause mild earthquakes. the magma make it a long way then cools
what happens at a conservative plate boundary
two plates move each other, friction build up then when reaches its limit causes earthquake as when it releases its pressure.
