what can an analyst gather from a blood spatter?

type of weapon
number of blows
if perpetrator is left or right handed
position and movements of the victim
etc.

what are passive bloodstains?

created from the force of gravity
eg. drops, flow patterns, blood pools etc

what are projected bloodstains?

patterns that occur when a force is applied to the source of the blood

what are transfer/contact bloodstains?

pattern created when a wet, bloody object comes in contact with a target surface

if the clumping occurs in the sample of blood what does it mean?

if it occurs that means it is positive for the respective type of blood
