Energy
The ability to do work or cause a change in a system.
Joule (J)
The unit of energy measurement, where 1000 J = 1 kJ.
Kinetic Energy
The energy an object has due to its motion, dependent on its mass and velocity.
Potential Energy
Stored energy, such as gravitational potential energy, related to an object's position.
Law of Conservation of Energy
Energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be transformed or transferred.
Efficiency
The percentage of useful energy transformed compared to total energy used.
Energy Transformation
The process of converting energy from one form to another.
Gravitational Potential Energy
The energy an object possesses due to its height above the ground, dependent on mass, gravity, and height.
Work
The energy transferred when a force moves an object over a distance.
Power
The rate at which work is done or energy is transferred, measured in watts (W).
