How do u calculate number of moles in compound
Mass (g) / Relative formula mass Mr
How do we calculate mass of a number of moles
Mass (g) = number of moles x relative formula mass Mr
Calculate mass of four moles of sodium chloride NaCl
Work out mr of NaCl ( 1×23) + (1×35.5) = 58.5
mass (g) = 4 × 58.5 = 234g
Calculate mass of three moles of potassium oxide K2O
Mr = (2×39) + (1×16) = 94
mass = 3 × 94
mass = 282 g
