Stability
The ability of a body to restore to its original static equilibrium after being slightly displaced.
Centre of Gravity
A theoretical point in the body where the body’s total weight is thought to be concentrated.
Centroid
The center point of the object or the geometric centre of the object.
Pressure
The force applied perpendicular to a surface divided by the area over which that force is distributed.
Higher Pressure
A result of distributing a force over a smaller area.
Lower Pressure
A result of spreading a force over a larger area.
Pascal (Pa)
The unit of pressure, defined as a force of one newton per square meter.
Force
An influence that can change the motion of an object, measured in newtons (N).
Area
The surface over which a force is distributed, measured in square meters (m²).
