Ecological Systems Theory
A method concerning systems that provides a system to identify different environments that we operate in as social individuals, divided into six levels (broadening by type of influence)
Developmental Systems/Bioecological Model
Alternative names for Ecological Systems Theory.
Individual (Ecological Systems Theory)
The first level of the ecological system, including name, sex, age, genetics, and biology. Hunger can affect socialization.
Microsystem
An individual's immediate environment, involving reciprocal relationships and most personal interactions (e.g., family/friends).
Mesosystem
Interactions between members of the microsystem, broader than the microsystem itself (e.g., parent-teacher conferences).
