We start with light waves

The light waves come in contact with the cornea

The light waves goes to the anterior chamber and then to the posterior chamber (aqueous humor)

The light then goes to the lens

The lens then refracts light onto the lower retina, which then stimulates the photoreceptors

The stimulation of the photoreceptors then facilitates or inhibits the horizontal and/or amacrine cells
7)
The signal then goes to the ganglion cells
8)
Then the signal goes to the optic nerve then to the optic chiasm
9)
The signal goes to the lateral geniculate bodies and then finally to the visual cortex of the occipital bone
