Black skater skirt

Black – represents darkness and evil. Cathy represents darkness and evil. She comes across as increasingly violent and dangerous throughout the play, enjoying hurting people.

Black lace-up chunky boots

Boots – make her seem taller – Cathy trying to appear older and more mature – get a higher status, reflecting her eagerness to follow Phil’s instructions so she gets more power within the group.

Messy hair

She has been doing Phil’s ‘dirty’ work.

Bright red lipstick and Red-sequined crop top

Red – represents blood – shows how casually she is using Adam’s death for personal gain, as a publicity stunt – lacking a moral compass. Tone-deaf to other people’s feelings – others feel guilty about Adam’s death but she uses it to boost her popularity

Glittery sunglasses

Even though they are in a forest with trees blocking the light – and therefore is dark she still wears these to show her need to be glamourous all the time

Darkness – literally obscures her view reflects Cathy choosing not to see the moral ramifications of her actions.
