What is a trespasser?
A visitor who has no permission or authority to be on the occupiers land.
What is the duty of care owed to a trespasser?
Traditionally, at common law, no duty owed to a trespasser by the occupier. Harshly applied to a child in Addie v Dumbreck.

4 year old was killed when he fell through the unprotected cover of a wheel on colliery land. Child was a trespasser so no compensation could be claimed by the parents.
