How can you tell the amount of notes in a measure?
Based on the time signature: top number tells you how many beats in a measure: (Ex: ¾ means 3 beats in 1 measure.)
Tempo
Gradual and sudden changes of the pulse and speed affect the mood and intensity of music.
Tonality
Based on a scale, aka key; ex: G scale has a tonality or key of G; meaning it starts with G and ends at the next octave of G.

Same note name: either 12 frets (half steps) Higher or Lower
