Obstructive or limited airflow, inflammatory response to repair causes changes and narrowing of airways with decreased elastic recoil

Appendicitis

Inflammation or infection of the appendix that becomes ischemic and dies. Usually affects children around 10 years old and especially those with cystic fibrosis

Curable with surgical intervention

Crohn’s

Starts with inflammation and abscesses which turns into ulceration of the GI tract. No cure for this.
