Took control of most, and the Propaganda ministry issued daily orders whilst Press Ageny told journalists what to say.
radio
The Reich radio company was formed to control all broadcasts. Cheap People’s receiver radios were made which couldn’t pick up foreign broadcasts. Loudspeakers were made in public places and workplaces so those without radios could hear.
Films
Over a thousand propaganda films were made, including “Triumph of the Will”, lots with high production budgets so that they were more enjoyable.
Art and culture
the nazis set up the Reich Chamber of Culture, of which all musicians, writers and actors had to be members. Classical music by German composers was encouraged. Jazz was banned, as were all books viewed as “un-German”, and modern art seen as degenerate. Architecture used to their advantage.
Festivals
Many national days were celebrated, such as the German Culture Day and Hitler’s birthday. Most important was the Nuremburg Rally, which was the most important event of the year, lasting a week, and included huge parades and speeches.
Olympics
Berlin hosted 1936 olympics, and the games were used for propaganda purposes to show Germany as modern, civilised and racially superior.
