Conservation of Energy
The principle that states energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another.

A situation where the only force acting on an object is gravity.
Momentum
The quantity of motion of a moving body, measured as the product of its mass and velocity.
Inelastic Collision
A type of collision where kinetic energy is not conserved.
Perfectly Inelastic Collision
A collision where objects stick together after colliding.
Elastic Collision
A collision where kinetic energy is conserved.
Closed System
A system where no external forces affect the momentum of the objects within it.
Open System
A system where external forces, like gravity, can affect the momentum of the objects within it.
