Cell or plasma membrane

Made from lipids and proteins a Bilayer (two layers of lipids)

Cell membrane Job

Allow materials in and out but the cell membrane is SEMI PERMEABLE only allowing specific materials in and out

Nucleus job

Control cell activity as it has DNA which holds information to MAKE PROTEINS

Nucleolus = makes ribosomes

RER job

• The RER is covered in ribosomes making it rough, it receives ribosomes from the nucleolus

• it is a tunnel system that transports protein making ribosomes

• The RER with transport the ribosomes as the ribosomes are making the protein

SER job

• makes fats and lips synthesis ribosomes

• Breaks down toxins

• Has no ribosomes

Ribosomes Job

• created by the nucleolus

• Transported by the rough ER

• Make proteins

• It gathers individual amino acids (building block of proteins) into a long chain making A PROTEIN

• Basically gather amino acids to make a profits in this is TRANSLATION

The Golgi apparatus

• modifies,and packages proteins into transport vesicles

• To create ATP in the process of cellular respiration

Lysosomes job

• Contain digestive enzymes

• break down food an damaged cells or pathogens

Cilia and flagella

For movement or swimming

Cilia are hair like extensions for in Trachea

Flagella are on Sperm cells it is a long extension

Cell wall job

The outermost layer or plant or bacteria cells

• helps to add support to plant cells and maintain the cell shape

• They have cellulose

Chloroplasts job

• perform photosynthesis

• Chlorophyll molecules absorb sunlight and convert water and CO2 Into sugars

Vacuole

• store water and food

• Plant cells have a large central vacuole

• Animal cells have a smaller vacuole
