Vacuole
Storage sacks for water, salts, food, etc.

Nucleus
Organelle that controls the cell's activities and contains DNA.

Nucleolus
This produces ribosomes and is inside the nucleus. Where rRNA is located.

Cytoplasm
Supports the cell's organelles. Site of some chemical reactions.

Golgi Apparatus/Golgi Bodies
Modifies or packages proteins for export from the cell.

Lysosome
Contains digestive enzymes and helps get rid of dead cells and make nutrients

Cell/Plasma Membrane
This acts as a protective barrier around the cell. Permeable, allowing some materials to come in/out.

Mitochondria
Powerhouse of the cell, releases energy (ATP) for the cell to use through the process of cellular respiration.

Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum
make cellular products like hormones and lipids. It also distributes those products throughout the cell and to other places in the organism

Nuclear Membrane
keeps all the harmful things out and lets the good ones in (ignore pic)

Centrioles
Helps with splitting cells apart during cell reproduction. Found only in animals for use in mitosis/ meiosis

chromosomes
thread like structures in nucleus made of protein/DNA; contain specific instructions for uniqueness of creature

ribosomes
the cellular structure that performs translation, or protein synthesis. Ribosomes are both language translators and efficient assembly workers

rough endoplasmic reticulum
manufactures proteins
