Human Rights Watch is an organisation that looks for situations where people's rights are
being violated. They speak out against these violations and work to protect people's rights
around the world.
They help by:
- Investigating problems
- Reporting the truth
- Pressuring leaders to fix the issues
Protecting Indigenous Rights
The Anangu are an Indigenous group in Australia. One of their sacred places is Uluru, a big
rock mountain. To protect their rights and culture, the government banned people from climbing Uluru. This
helped show respect for the Anangu's beliefs and protected their land.
