a genetic nervous system disorder in which a person does not experience pain or temperature and does not sweat

glaucoma

damage to the optic nerve that is often associated with high blood pressure in the eye

hyperopia (farsightedness)

vision for far objects is clear but not for objects that are closer; can occur at any age

myopia (nearsightedness)

vision for near objects is clear but not for objects that are farther away

phantom pain

pain that feels like it is coming from parts of the body that are no longer there

presbyopia (farsightedness)

vision for far objects is clear but not for objects that are closer; occurs as a function of aging

sensorineural hearing loss

hearing loss that occurs when there is a failure to transmit neural signs from the cochlea to the brain

stereoblindness

an inability to respond to binocular depth cues like retinal disparsity
