Dengue
Is a vascular leak syndrome and is primarily a disease of children under the age of 15 years, although it can and does occur in adults. It is characterized by sudden onset of fever, usually of 2–7 days' duration, and a variety of nonspecific signs and symptoms.

Mode of transmission:
Dengue Virus types 1, 2 , 3, 4 and Chikungunya virus

With flushing, sudden high fever, severe hemorrhage, followed by sudden drop of temperature, shock and terminating in recovery or death.
Moderate
With high fever, but less hemorrhage or no shock

With slight fever, with or without petechial hemorrhage but epidemiologically related to typical cases usually discovered in the course of investigation of typical cases
First 4 days
Abrupt High fever
•Abdominal pain
•Headache
•Flushing accompanied by vomiting,
conjunctival infection and epistaxis
4th-7th day
TOXIC or HEMORRHAGIC STAGE.
Lowering of temperature, severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and frequent bleeding from gastrointestinal tract in the form of melena or hematemesis.
Cardiac: Unstable BP, Narrow pulse pressure and shock.
7th to 10th day
Also known as CONVALESCENT or RECOVERY STAGE.
Stabilized Blood pressure, Regained Appetite, No bleeding episodes
