Sports Psychology
The scientific study of people and behaviors in sports and physical activity, involving both studying and applying findings.

External Attribution
Explaining poor performance by blaming outside factors (e.g., ski wax, equipment), suggesting a lack of personal control over the outcome.
Trait Anxiety
A general predisposition or disposition of an individual to perceive many situations in life as threatening, causing a tendency to be anxious.
Stress Model
A framework for understanding stress involving a demand/challenge, an individual's perception of that demand (as a threat or challenge), their physical and psychological response, and behavioral consequences.
