An established body to oversee mental health care, treatment, and rehabilitation services in a province.
Executive Council
A group of provincial leaders responsible for making decisions on health services.
Mental Health Care Practitioner
A qualified individual who provides mental health services.
Involuntary Mental Health Care
Mental health treatment provided without the user's consent due to their inability to make decisions.
Periodic Reports
Regular updates on the mental health status of care users, often required by Review Boards.
Composition of Review Board
Made up of at least three to five appointed members, including a mental health care practitioner, a legal professional, and a community member.
Remuneration
Payment or compensation provided to Review Board members for their services.
Casual Vacancy
An unexpected absence of a member of the Review Board due to resignation, removal, or incapacity.
