Arthur Balfour
British Prime Minister from 1902 to 1905 and Foreign Secretary who is best known for the Balfour Declaration, which supported the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine.
Armenian Genocide
A Genocide against Armenian people by the Ottoman Empire during World War I, resulting in the mass deportation and killing of 600,000 to 1.5 million Armenians by the Muslims.
Greek Genocide
The systematic extermination of Greek Christians by the Ottoman Empire during and after World War I, leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands and widespread displacement of the Greek population.
Assyrian Genocide
The mass murder and deportation of Syriac Christians and Assyrians. 275,000 Christians died.
Great Famine of Mount Lebanon
The death of 200,000 people around Mount Lebanon, due to starvation and disease during World War I, largely resulting from Ottoman policies and the wartime blockades. There was also a swarm of locusts.
Spanish Flu
An influenza pandemic that swept the world in 1919. 17-50 million people died globally due to the virus. Estimates say that even up to 100 million people may have died. Originating in Kansas, the only country that reported it was Spain, which is why it is called the Spanish flu. In 2 years, 1/3 of the global population was infected, however was not killed by it. The highest mortality rate was among young adults.

The prime minister of Japan during World War 2, serving from 1941 to 1944.
Victor Emmanuel III
Former king of Italy. Ordered martial law from the prime minister. He refused, fearing civil war. He then resigned, and Victor appointed Mussolini as the prime minister.

The king and emperor of Ethiopia from 1930 to 1974. Went to Jamaica once.
Adolf Hitler
Dictator of Germany from 1933 to 1945.
Paul Von Hindenburg
President of Germany from 1925 to 1934. Proposed that Hitler becomes chancellor of Germany, and, even while in his 90s, helped Hitler to dismiss parliament.
Ernst Rohm
The co-founder and leader of Hitler’s private military force, the storm troopers (SA).
