modifies and packs proteins into vessicles before they are exported

lysosome

digest old/unwanted molecules (unicellular=intracellular digestion)

ribosome

assemble proteins

chloroplast

perfoms photosynthesis, contains clorophyll (only plant cells)

mitochondria

site of aerobic cellular respiration

vacuole

stores water, waste, and sometimes nutrients (plant cells: 1 large vacuole, animal cells: many tiny vacuoles)

peroxisome

break down peroxide created by cells, various of metabolic functions

nucleolus

dark sport on the nucleus that makes RNA to construct ribosomes

cell wall

protects and gives shape to cells, doesn't regulate what enters and leaves (only plant cells)

cytoskeleton

gives support to the cell, facilitates movement of cell structures
