always wrong- breaks ordered society and justice (primary precept)

only exception taking essential to survive = preserving of life (higher precept)

always wrong- speech telos is truth; lying destroy nature.

even to save life, fail double effect.

the intention is to deceive someone

only holding back the truth is allowed

what is NML opinion on Embryo research

wrong- go against preserving life, reproducing, and worshiping God (because it disrespect his creation)

what is NML opinion on abortion

wrong- breaks preserving life + reproduce; foetus=innocent life.

only allowed if the intention is is not to kill the foetus e.g. cancerous womb removal

modern Catholics allow it if its to save the mother life but traditional NML doesn’t 

what is NML opinion on voluntary euthanasia 

wrong- life is sacred and gods gift; ending it reject his purpose (eternal law)

therefore goes against preserving life and worshiping God

DDE allows pain relief that shorten your life but doesn’t kill you because the intention is not to kill

what is NML opinion on capital punishment

permitted by Aquinas to defend order/common good (used the analogy of removing diseased limb) as long the intention is not to kill but to keep order

modern Catholics don’t allow it because it violates the preserving life and worship God (only god have the right to takes other people life)
