A long poem that tells the story of a hero. Were usually a oral thing spoken for a audience. Includes elements from a poem like rhythm, rhyme and repetition to help memorize. Sometimes include important events to pass down history.

How Do you make a strong character analysis Paragraph?

By using the P.I.E strategy. (Make a point, provide illustration which is a direct quotation from a text that supports your point, and explain the evidence you used in your illustration.) A good paragraph should have a topic sentence and a conclusion aswell.

How do you cite a poem with the MLA method?

In poems, when one line ends another line starts (Line break), we use a / to signal it in MLA citation. We then add the authors name in () followed by a period after. Example: “I carried wax along the line, and laid it / thick on their ears” (Homer 43-44). It is important to add the period AFTER the authors name and the 43-44 represents the line number in the poem.
