When George Washington ended his final term he gave a farewell speech and mentioned two possible threats

NO Foreign Alliances (GW said to avoid alliances with other countries

Edmund Randolph (Attorney General) : Advised the government on legal matters
Henry Knox (Secretary of War) : Oversaw the nation’s defences
Thomas Jefferson (Secretary of State) : Oversaw relations between the United States and other countries
Alexander Hamilton (Secretary of Treasury) : Oversaw the governments money

What were the effects of Alexander Hamilton’s Financial Plan?
Economic Policies opposed by the south (AH asked the Southern States Debts from the War but they didn’t want to)
But AH created a compromise (Reached for support if he Supported Capital move to the South — Washington D.C) AH proposed to the south that if they paid the debt’s of the northern states the U.S. Capital would permanently be in the South aka Washington D.C.
