847 new zealanders assessed every other year for mhd until 21. 5 years later surveyed on sle from passed 5 years and assessed again. group 1: 2 short, group 2: 1 long 1 short, group 3: 2 long alleles.
results
those with one or more short alleles showed more symptoms of mdd especially if 3 or more sle experienced.
