why is public health important?
By promoting all types of health you are empowering and encouraging people to educate themselves on their own bodies and take care of their physical health, mental heath etc. It also promotes how to build and strengthen community support and holistic education.
How do we achieve public health promotion
We can achieve public health promotion with three basic strategies. Health communication, Health education, Policy/systems/and environmental changes(PSES).
what is health communication
it is the use of social marketing to empower people. tools used for HC include Broachers, billboards, videos, digital resources, radio, TV, etc. You also need to understand traditional ideas, languages, and priorities of different cultures and places.
health belief model: understanding the psychology behind behavior change as it relates to health.

What is health education?
Evidence based education can occur in lectures workshops. involve target audience, assess needs, plan activities to help learn and build skills, use lessons and material that are easy to access, share information through various channels like videos and websites, proper staff training.
what is Policy, systems, and environmental change?
Policy: Organizations and stakeholders implement health promotion activities through legislative advocacy, economic measures, taxation, and regulations
Systems: Shift on the way issues are resolved, affect organizational intent and how it functions
Environmental: External systems and resources are in place to make healthy behavior easily accessible.
What are some of the challenges of public health promotion.
It relies on more than just healthcare- income, housing, employment, availability of public resources (social determinants).
