Crook’s harness room
What people got left behind while the others went into town? Why only those characters?
Lennie- never goes out (mental slowness)
Crooks- always discriminated for his skin color
Candy- old and can’t walk properly and probably was looking out for Lennie
Curley’s wife- a women
What was Curley’s wife’s dream?
To be on broadway but her mom didn’t accept it so had to marry Curley, someone she doesn’t like
What did we discover about Crooks?
He was very lonely bc no one talked to him just bc of his skin color. “It was difficult for Crooks to conceal his pleasure with anger” bc no one ever talks to him
What did Curley’s wife admit?
She doesn’t like Curley bc of his attitude and feels trapped in a “2 by 4” house bc of how little interaction she has with anyone
Why did Curley’s wife insult Crooks?
Crooks was getting tired and told everyone to get out of his room. The wife was offended and called him a racial slur. Crooks was triggered and “Everything that might be hurt drawn in.” And afterward Crooks said to forget about the dream bc he came back into reality
