Purpose
To promote the cause of higher business education and training for all individuals,
to foster high ideals for individuals in business careers,
to encourage fraternity and cooperation among individuals preparing for such careers,
and to stimulate the spirit of sacrifice and unselfish devotion to the attainment of such ends.
Mission Statement
Be it known, that the Mission of Phi Chi Theta, a National Professional Fraternity, is to
- provide an opportunity to develop and practice those professional leadership skills and abilities necessary to succeed in the business community
- provide a local and national network to share resources, ideas, and concepts
- instill in its membership those values, codes, and creeds, which will enable participation in a rapidly changing world
- enable members to develop the business astuteness necessary to achieve high esteem and success in their chosen fields
Phi Chi Theta Creed
I do solemnly promise to be true and loyal to the ideals of Phi Chi Theta, to strive at all times to uphold its standards, and to work always for its best interests.

Fraternities That Merged
Phi Chi Theta was formed by a merger of two business fraternities, Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Kappa Epsilon.
Date Founded
It was formed on June 16th, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois.
Insignia
The badge consists of the Greek letter Phi Chi Theta at the top of the crest, shield with a candle in the upper right corner, ship in the lower left corner, and Greek letters written out at the bottom of the shield.

Membership
To qualify for membership a student must
- be an undergraduate student working on a bachelor's degree or graduate student enrolled in the College/School of Business or earning a minor in Business and/or Economics
- maintain a grade point average not lower than that required for the major
- be interested in the advancement of professional ideals and activities
- be invited to and approved for membership by members of the student chapter
