they're up at 5 am and sleep at midnight.

detailed schedule: they're up at 5 am, facility until 8:30. By 9 until 2 classes and lunch. 2-2:30 watch game film, get taped at 2:30-3:15 before 3:30 practice

3:30-6 practice. 6-7 shower. 7-7:30 eat dinner. 7:30-9:30 academic support center. 9:30-12 am do hw and sleep

what happened at the Ross v Creighton University (Nebraskan Catholic institution)

Kevin Ross plays at Creighton. They didn't make him go to class, a tutor did his assignments. He left the school with no degree and illiterate. He really wanted to learn so he goes back to Chicago and actually enrolls at elementary. He sued the school for leaving him academically unprepared and he argued the school prioritized his basketball eligibility . It doesn't admit wrongdoing, give 30,000$ - exploitation

what happened with University of North Carolina and Dexter Manley?

he testified to Congress that he couldn't read or write after college and explained he passed his classes just by showing up. UNC did get hit with a scandal called the Paper Classes scandal where athletes got high grades in classes that never met so they could maintain eligibility on the team. It also shows exploiting academic loopholes
